How many window companies have a step-by-step breakdown of the entire window replacement process?  Why it may be impossible to eliminate "surprises" completely, we are going to make sure you know what to expect from us, and in the process you will come to understand WHY Buena Vista Windows is the best possible choice you have for your home.

The Process, beginning to end...

Step 1: The Quote.  From the very beginning, you will have the opportunity to get to know the owner of the company, James.  We will not send a sales rep to give you a 3-hour presentation to try and "convince" or "pressure" you into purchasing then and there.  We encourage you to seek out at least 1 or 2 quotes from our competitors, if you haven't already, before you buy.  Generally James will spend 30-60 minutes discussing your needs, wants, and options, while measuring your windows for the correct sizes and configurations.  Once the measurements are complete and all your immediate questions are answered, we will have made an educated decision together on the best windows to meet your needs and budget.  James will return to the office and have your quote ready for you within 48 hours.

Step 2: The Order. Once you have chosen to do business with Buena Vista, we will enter in to a simple contract and your windows can be purchased with virtually any payment type.  The down payment will always be the cost of windows & doors, and the balance will be due on the last day of installation.  If your order is for a NEW home, then we will conduct a "field measure" once the openings are ready before placing the final order.  Your windows & doors will then be ordered, and within a few days Buena Vista will receive an "acknowledgment" from the manufacturer indicating the day your windows will arrive. After the acknowledgment is checked for accuracy we will call to inform you of the "ship-date" and schedule the next available single block of time to complete your installation.

Step 3: The Installation.  On the first day of installation we plan to arrive between 8-8:30am.  All the windows will be unloaded and prep work for removal of your old windows will begin.  This is generally the messiest part of the job, and you can expect to have a fine layer of dust around the home when the job is complete.  We take every measure to keep the dust under control, but it is still a good idea to cover computers and furniture in the rooms where we will be working.  We are happy to mover any furniture that might be in the way, with the exception of valuables and fragile items.  Tarps will be put down at each installation, and our work areas will be vacuumed and cleaned before leaving each day.  You will also not be left with any "holes" in your home over night. We average between 4-6 windows per day on a replacement job, and between 10-15+ windows per day on a new construction site.  We also ALWAYS allow for one extra day beyond what is expected - just in case unexpected hurdles are encountered.  For replacement windows, the installation means a finished product. We will address any necessary stucco or dry-wall repairs, and we will replace or install trim, molding, and grout where it may be needed.  If any tile work or finish painting is required, this will be the responsibility of the homeowner.

Step 4: The Cleaning.  As part of our installation services, a professional window cleaning is included at the end of each job.  This is part of our effort to make sure that you are 100% satisfied with your new windows, as well as the installation experience.

Step 5: The Follow-Up.  Four to six weeks after completion of your installation we will follow up with a phone call or a physical visit (whichever you prefer) to find out how you are enjoying your windows, and if you have any new concerns or questions.  It is our goal to find each of our customers 100% satisfied at this point, although we welcome any recommendations or feedback to help us improve our customer service and the installation experience for future customers.  You can also rest easy knowing that our installation is guaranteed for 3-years.
